HEALTH EDUCATION CLASSES OFF TO AN EXCELLENT START!
Teacher, Alan, has reported back that the first health education classes at the Hironaka school were a great success!
He reports – The classes were divided into two; one for the boys and one for the girls. Two nurses visited the school: Mr Chum Sakhoeun and Mrs Bun Seymoeun, both nurses from the local Rovieng Hospital. Nineteen boys and fifty five girls attended the respective classes, which were provided for children 12 and older.
They were taught basic hygiene and about the changes they will be going through in puberty. The children had the opportunity to ask questions as well.
The nurses will visit the school once a month on a Thursday morning from 8-9:30am.
