Cambodia has the highest infant mortality rate in the region and diarrhea is one of the leading causes of childhood death. Aside from the serious health consequences that result from drinking unclean water, children also frequently miss school due to diarrhea and other intestinal issues. In the heat, children would often resort to drinking water from puddles and other contaminated sources. Under these circumstances, Let’s Build a School made providing clean drinking water a major priority for our schools. Thanks to the generosity of our major sponsors, we have installed bio-sand water filters at two primary schools.

Please check out our Facebook page album for pictures of the filters being built. To find out more about the filters, please visit Clear Cambodia’s website www.clearcambodia.org.
