Cambodia has the highest infant mortality rate in the region, and diarrhea is one of the leading causes of childhood death. Aside from the serious health consequences that result from drinking unclean water, children also frequently miss school due to diarrhea and other intestinal issues. Under these circumstances, Let’s Build a School has made providing clean drinking water a major priority at both the Shintoshin and Hironaka Schools. Thanks to the generosity of our major project sponsors, we will be working with Clear Cambodia to install their two tank bio-sand water filters in 2015.
