Thank you to all our wonderful supporters who helped make our first trivia night fundraiser such a success! Included in our $7000+ are seven new sponsors for the Girls Be Ambitious program. We are now up to twenty five sponsorships!
In one night of fun (and emptying some wallets… thanks folks), we were not only able to support seven more girls to attend school, but have covered the salary costs of our existing teacher for a year, and enables us to hire a new teacher for the neighbouring school, The Shintoshin school.
Such an exciting year ahead as we continue to raise money and support for both The Hironaka and Shintoshin schools. In just one year, we are expanding to two schools!
We will continue to have smaller fundraisers throughout the year to raise money for teacher training, infrastructure costs, books, sports and academic supplies, computers, and ongoing health and peer support programs.
